See you at the fair!

I love my community.

So I was happy to jump in and accept a leadership role as chair of the Blackburn Funfair in 2024. My goal - to help the annual fair thrive as an affordable community fair that helps raise money for our neighborhood.

Raised a record $20,000 in 2024 and again in 2025 for local charities and service groups in Blackburn Hamlet.
Added online payment options to decrease reliance on cash and help categorize sales. Pleased with a 40% takeup in 2024 that continued tin 2025.
Added an online 50/50 raffle to the fair which raises $500 annually with no administration required.
Replaced noisy, polluting gas generators in 2025 with three EV trucks to power all inflatables at the fair.
Created a brochure in 2025 with all relevant fair information.
